Except Bumgarner has no issue doing stuff like that while still on the field even and he has to bat.

I think batter hitting scuffle drama is easily my least favorite part of baseball. Just shut up. Each time it's the same damn thing.

Here's an idea keep the DH, but make it so the DH can't hit for the pitcher, essentially creating a designated fielder. Both leagues can have the DH without sacrificing the strategy component.

And in other news Ketel Matte had his 1st career 3 hit game vs the Twins. He also took 2nd in the 11th on a ball that the catcher blocked and only rolled about a foot from him, that is some kind of fast. He is just what this lineup needs.

And if Godgarner is willing to take it on the ribs, then more power to him. But make them count.

I just saw the Yost comments. I can't believe he could say all that he said with a straight face and compliment Jim Wolf like that. What a pathetic display. I agree with Bautista, I just lost a ton of respect for Yost today.

These two teams need to meet in the playoffs. It would be some of the most dramatic and intense baseball to watch on the national stage.

Ok I just saw the scuffle in TOR. I, as an umpire, would have thrown out Madsen for the second one but not the first. Because it looked like it was a changeup and he could have just lost control of it. But the second was a fastball up and in.

Looked like both guys (Donaldson and Volquez) were looking for a confrontation. Donaldson has a bigger beef because he got thrown at near the head in 3 separate at-bats. Anyone in his situation has the right to be pissed.

Someone on KC should have been tossed before Sanchez was.

Some guys can overreact, but when a hard object is thrown 90+ MPH near your head multiple times in the same game, you have the right to stand up for yourself. There's no place for that in the game.

KC isn't helping their reputation for being a bunch of headhunters.
