Re: 8/3 - 8/16 Game Discussion Thread
Give it up Yankees. Apparently they're STILL on the whole conspiracy theory that Jays got some mysterious guy in white(in the OF or as Yankees network is trying to figure out..maybe in the hotel rooms) giving players signs....
If they're so convinced that's the case, why haven't they filed an investigation with MLB in the several years they've been accusing Jays of doing this? A power hitting team is great at hitting in their own ballpark which is a hitters ballpark...big surprise. Don't start throwing around stupid conspiracies and have 0 proof to back it up.
If Jays really were doing this, someone surely would've brought it to the attention of the MLB already. And former players on Jays would've spoken up about it too(players specifically who left Jays on bad terms, which has been the case for a few players). So the fact that none of it has happened, just shows how little faith they have in their own conspiracies.

Random stat of the day.
The Red Sox haven't won a game on Ben Affleck's Birthday since Good Will Hunting came out in 1998. His birthday 8/15. Right now winning 9-2 or something. Curse of the Bambino, broken. Curse of the Benbino, broken.Comment

Jays had bases loaded with no one out and Tanaka only allowed 1-run...then Teixeiria homers to put Yanks back in front. Huge, huge swing..."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

What is the feeling in Red Sox camp on Blake Swihart? I know they refused to deal him in any scenario over the winter, but every time I watch him I'm underwhelmed by his bat and his glove. His numbers are atrocious to back up that perception, but he's a 23-year old rookie. Is the feeling that he's improving or has he just been a disappointment?"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Re: 8/3 - 8/16 Game Discussion Thread
He was called up way too early. He wasn't supposed to be on the MLB roster this year until maybe September. The plan after Vazquez went down was to roll with Ryan Hanigan as our starter than Sandy Leon as our back-up. But then Hanigan got hurt and we had to call up Swihart. Also I'm not really worried, look at Bogaerts. He struggled mightily last year. And he has rebounded by having an All-Star caliber season, this season.
BTW - I had no idea it was Felix that got blasted today....unreal."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Where the hell did this power come from JBJ??? Trade him now, seriously. You have a surplus of OFs and he has great value.Comment

Hats off to Tanaka. The man literally manipulated the strike zone and got practically all the calls he wanted.
Jays offense with RISP is evaporating right now. I really hope this isn't a sign of bad things to come. We'll see how it goes for them tomorrow against Severino as they usually rake against fastball dependent pitchers.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
