Yeah, I was about to edit my post and say it IS nicer to not have to have a one game playoff (or even more than one, with how tight the AL is (no one more than 10 games back)

Goodness. That Tyler Saladino play at 3B is one of the best I've ever seen. If that's not a Web Gem....

          Alright, SF.

Your man Folty is on the mound...not looking too good though. Having Freddie gone KILLS our offense.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

It isn't just nicer to not be on the one playoffs game, it is critical. Not only you have to spent David Price on do or die game that may end your season, then pitch Dickey or Buerhle on Game 1 and Price would only get one start instead of possibly two.

It changes the whole dynamic of your whole postseason.

Love Folty's stuff...he's getting better. Love our pitching, but IMO he's going to be something special if he reaches his potential.

KC already up 6-1 in the third. Yes!

                EDIT: 7-1 now.

Cubs take the lead in the top of the fifth on a base hit by, you guessed it, Kyle Schwarber.

EDIT: and Baltimore tied it up with Oakland in the 6th, damn

It feels like Schwarber is having more of a direct impact on things than Bryant. Don't know if "the numbers" bear that out though.

Dude is striaight feastin' on ML pitching. If he didn't come up so late, he'd be right up there with the NL ROY candidates. He still might if he continues this for the rest of the season.

Schwarber was called up...two months ago?

I've talked about this in other threads, but Kris Bryant's quietly been an all-around force this year. Troy Glaus was the comp I heard thrown around when he was a prospect, but he's looking more like a well-rounded Giancarlo Stanton. The power obviously isn't at Stanton-type levels yet, but there's no reason to think it won't get to those levels.

At the Brewer game and just seen the MOST RIDICULOUS REPLAY REVERSAL ever! MLB is a joke.

Why Joey Terdoslavich has a spot on the Braves' roster is beyond me...guy is awful in every facet of the game and has never shown anything that says "major leaguer". What an awful pinch hit at bat...

Didn't he get called up in June and was only up because they had a road series against a AL team and they wanted him to DH those games?
