It's like this Tiger's pitcher's plan is to throw as many pitches down the middle and see what happens...Toronto is a bad team to try that against."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

ROFLMAO at Anthony Gose. Goins on 2nd base with 1 out and Gose catches a deep fly ball thinking it's 3 outs and Goins scores.

Re: 8/17 - 8/30 Game Discussion Thread
For all those talking about championships and whatnot, I came from the downer end of things and just thought of something, yet came to a true revelation...
Say your team wins for the rest of eternity. Now what? Look ahead forty years and see your favorite sports teams crown every World Series, Super Bowl, Finals, Stanley Cup, Bowl game, etc. Again, now what? What does their legacy do to your life after the fact?
Christopher Walken said it best in Click:
“Remember the leprechaun. The one in the cereal commercials. He's always chasing the pot of gold, but when he gets there, at the end of the day, it's just corn flakes."
I love the moments we win in and I love to celebrate a solid product, but I'm already looking ahead and saying what if I did get the best of the best? What will come of my life because of it? The truth of the matter is I do not know. Sure I can tell my grandkids about it, but really I just like living in it, not after it. This is why Yankees fans shouldn't be ridiculed for wanting them to win every year they play, because they always want to see success just as we do. It doesn't matter that they won X number of WS titles or Y in a row.
So for those bumming about your past years, don't look back. Either look ahead or in the present. This is especially true of Cubs, Blue Jays, and Astros fans.
