I think it might depend on the section where the guy falls. Because I know when that fan fell in Texas between the wall in LF and the stands they stopped the game so no one would get hit. But if was along the foul lines play may not be stopped.

They didn't challenge it...replay showed he got his shoulder well before he got to the bag.

OK I didn't listen to the audio and just saw the NYY bench coach on the phone. And also some the angles looked like he could have been safe and wasn't tagged.

Apparently it's something MAJOR. It was the area in which players families/friends are in, and people were even crying(and all had to be evacuated from the area).

Don't know how it happened, but it's crazy to hear about all these things happening in MLB this year specifically. People falling from high distance like in this game, or all those things with foul balls and/or bats injuring fans.

I've read he fell 100 feet and landed head first.

                          That's a TON of blood.

Seems like this is the 2nd or 3rd fan in Turner field history to have fallen to death (or near death).

The AJC says the fan died.

Edit: That's the second fan since 2013 and third since 2008 to die from a fall at Turner Field.

Reading eye witness accounts it sounds like the guy was just jumping up to cheer for ARod and lost his balance in the front row. That's awful...
