Also, Ryan Zimmerman is hotter than **** right now, as much as it pains me to say it.

I laughed at Dominic Brown. He should have caught this, but he couldn't even stop it. There he goes. <iframe src='http://m.mlb.com/shared/video/embed/embed.html?content_id=442539683&topic_id=6479266&w idth=400&height=224&property=mlb' width='400' height='224' frameborder='0'>Your browser does not support iframes.</iframe>Comment

Re: 8/31 - 9/13 Game Discussion Thread
I just noticed that the A's have the worst record in the AL, but have a +9 run differential.
In contrast, the worst team in the NL - the Phillies - have lost only 5 more games than the A's and sport a -163. Baseball everyone.Comment

Re: 8/31 - 9/13 Game Discussion Thread
My boss was talking to me earlier today about how hopes Kershaw doesn't "choke" in the playoffs again. I tried explaining to him that he can't help if his offense doesn't help out and that one bad inning late in playoff games doesn't mean he "chokes."
These people have no idea how lucky they are. None.
Ugh. So infuriating.Comment

Re: 8/31 - 9/13 Game Discussion Thread
Still better than Anthony Gose lol.
But one of the more recent examples of how prospect rankings don't always mean alot. He was #4 ranked prospect just a few years ago, and while he did make all star team one year, that was basically it for him in his career so far.
I'm sure a few years ago there were teams willing to give up big pieces if Phillies traded them Brown. One of those tough decisions I guess. If you trade him and he becomes great, you question whether you should've dealt him. But if you keep him and he doesn't end up being great, you look back at potential deals you could've made if you dealt him.Comment

He's just a super casual fan if that. Sees **** in the playoffs and then thinks that's the way things are. No critical thinking involved.Comment
