Pictures from the second game of a double header that took over 9 hours where it was raining off and on and had a delay where your team is losing probably isn't the best indicator of the state of mind of Yankee fans.
As for Tulo, him being out to me isn't a big deal at all. Goins has stepped it up offensively and like you said, Tulowitzki hasn't been impressively offensively since being traded. Goins's defense isn't too shabby either so him playing short temporarily is fine. Pennington showed yesterday he can cover defense at second. So to me, it's minor, even if he is out longer than we think. With the way Revere is playing, #1-#4 is the scary part any way and with Martin getting a little healthier you have that extra bat. There are enough decent players in the order that they can survive.
To the injury itself, traditionally, they take 6-8 weeks much like a collarbone because there isn't much you can do for it. And the scapula is a large bone. Where is the fracture? Is it in the middle along the ridge, is it near the socket, is it towards the bottom near the middle of the back? Depending on where it is will affect the time. He could be back by October if it's away from the arm and as small as the say. Hopefully later this week management says it's very minor, just needs to heal a little longer, and then he's back the last week.
