Yeah A- Gonzo was picked up, but in a way I don't like this deal because A-Gonzo will not make it on to the Postseason Roster. So, even though the Padres are in the Wild Card Race I don't feel this is good pick up now.

Well, Aurilia is only going to miss a week so Gonzalez is just a plug in the hole.

Still, this deal doesn't make a lot of sense. Aurilla comes back he'll probably be the full time SS....so then what does A-Gonzo do? Sit on the bench and be limited to what he does and meanwhile we give up a player to be named later for a guy who is going to be a limited player. We have enough of them now and Bochy doesn't do anything, also again he'll not be on the playoff roster.

Yeah I know what a PTNBL is. But still it's not worth a guy who is an everyday SS and that can't be on the postseason roster. Roman V. can play SS until Aurilla is healthy.

Here's what will happen.

Gonzalez is a plug for SS, so it'll be a 3B platoon between Vazquez and Aurilia (when he comes back in a week or so) since I expect Burroughs to be shut down the rest of the season. Meanwhile as for Greene, depending on what happens to the Padres we may or may not see him at the end of this season. It should be more than a week before he can pick up a bat, but he won't be able to field until mid-October.
