That is why the Dodgers are struggling...bases loaded, no outs...get one run.

And then tiebreaker games on Monday, before the WC game on Tuesday. And then having to play in 1st place team in ALDS on Thursday!

Speaking of 1st place in AL,Jays looking like they'll have 1.5 game lead on Royals. 2 months ago, 12 games back, now, they're more than a game ahead. 6 games left for Jays,5 for Royals, even if Royals go 5-0 in those final 5,Jays can just go 4-2 and win the AL(due to tiebreaker). Something I don't see happening on Royals end, seeing how they're gonna be facing the Twins this weekend, and Twins obviously dangerous right now since it's absolutely do or die time from here till game 162.

          Thank you Boston and Chicago!

I'm glad to see the BoSox beating the crap out of the Yankees in this series.

Probably the most important games standings-wise tonight involve the AL West teams. Looks like the Angels could knock Houston out of the 2nd WC if Seattle can hold up their end in a currently 4-4 game in the 7th. LAA handling the A's.

Carl Edwards Jr. got his first career at bat tonight.... against Chapman

He actually went up 3-0, then looked at 2 FBs and check swung at a 3rd. He was about as far away from the plate as you can get.

Eh, he needs to do it more in the actual playoffs. This is only a big game because the Dodgers are weak and couldn't finish this crap division off quicker.

Pujols with double # 581 of his career tonight, re-tying him with David Ortiz as the MLB active leaders. Next up, Cap Anson at 582.

Kershaw on another level. He needs to get rid of the monkey on his back in the postseason. He and the Dodgers cannot afford another dud from him. Hopefully the Pirates or Cubs can get the Cards out early.

That curveball Kershaw just threw was absolutely ridiculous; I think Parker flinched multiple times while the ball was in flight.

First time ever we've won the division (and made the playoffs) three years in a row.

They seriously put this on the scoreboard, lol. I'm not the type of sports fan who takes stuff super serious, but I would imagine Giants fans in the house were thinking wtf.

Incredible what these NL pitchers are doing. Kershaw's 1-hit road shutout against your archrival in a division clinching game with 13 K's is a pretty strong way to park the season in the clubhouse so to speak. I don't envy those voting in the NL Cy Young race.

He'll probably end the year with 300+ Ks (with a really bad pitch framer in AJ Ellis catching 60% of his games too), a ~2.00 ERA, and still finish 3rd in Cy Young voting.

Wouldn't be a crime, obviously, but best 3rd place Cy Young finisher ever?
