    Greinke is hilariously aloof.

Wouldn't be a crime, obviously, but best 3rd place Cy Young finisher ever?
I know I'm in the minority (I've been beaten down for this opinion on another baseball board), but I still would vote Kershaw. He has 5 games this year that he shouldn't have lost...make his record 21-2 and tell me with his numbers people aren't voting for him.

Arrieta has had a great year, but Kershaw would get my vote.

        50% FIP-WAR/50% RA9-WAR, per FanGraphs:

        Arrieta: 8.0 WAR
        Greinke: 7.7 WAR
        Kershaw: 7.5 WAR

Kershaw's WAR is obviously going up after tonight's masterpiece, but yeah, objectively, it's extremely hard to make a case for one of these guys being better than the other.

Kershaw's 60+ K's over Arrieta stands out to me. That's a stat I tend to weight more when all others are relatively equal. That said, Greinke's ERA stands out the most to me in this 3 horse race. This vote is gonna be really close.

An Arrieta vs. Kershaw/Greinke matchup in the playoffs would be a bliss.

I, for one, love that the Yankees need one win to reach 10,000 and the Sox aren't havin' it.

Kershaw worked MadBum with a 13 pitch at bat last night as well.

MLB moves Jays-O's game tomorrow to 12pm. So they play today at 4 and 7(or 8) pm, along with tomorrow at 12pm. O's win that game tomorrow due to Jays players having hangovers from partying tonight lol.

3 games in just around 20 hour timespan? Even more importance to get AL wrapped up as soon as possible. 1-2 of the Tampa games getting to just sit everyone would help out alot in long run.

Especially because it would mean the Cubs made it to the NLCS! Cubs-Dodgers NLCS would be a very high rated TV event

Grand Slam for Cervelli, Pirates lead 5-1 in the 4th.

Even if they play NYM it'd still be crazy numbers. The Cubs fans alone will drive those ratings northward.

Did I read that correctly? The A's are starting Zito today? Why? They play the Angels, who are in a playoff chase. Is he the best option they have? I could see starting a prospect, but I don't see why Zito is starting.

And stuff like this is why I'm no longer an A's fan, lol.

Eh, there are more solid reasons to question your fandom. I was watching MLB Central this morning and the guys were talking about how Billy Beane has whiffed big time recently with his shipping guys out before they HAVE to. They were talking about the Mulder, Zito, Hudson years initially and it all came to that that Beane tends to get rid of guys too soon whereas the Rays will wring every last ounce of availability they can out of their guys before they trade them away.
