I'm sure this is coming from your inside sources. If you'd like i'd like to hear about it in PM.

I think the proper spelling in that situation is without an 'A'.

I'm most surprised that he's being signed by an NL team.

I seriously never heard of him, but after looking at his less than steller defensive skills and 312 on base percentage, meh, despite the 90 HR's over 3 yrs

Has incredible power and that's about it.

Strikes out a ton, has played both outfield and first (first is ideal for him) but isn't good at either.

He's hardly an effective consistent DH (didn't look at splits but when he was with the A's I'm pretty sure he was far more effective against LHP).

I loved the guy coming up but he has shown no signs of improvement over the years.

Not sure what team in the AL would need him. Baltimore is about the only team with a need at DH and if they re-sign Chris Davis there is nowhere for Carter since they have Trumbo.

Yeah and there are more like him out there (Pedro Alvarez, Wilin Rosario) that would make for decent 1B/DH types. Not enough places for them unless Chris Davis goes to the NL and one of them (probably Alvarez) can sign with Baltimore. Milwaukee needed to add someone with power to play 1B. Carter will do ok as a home run hitter for the rebuilding Brew Crew.

Didn't say there was a team that does need him.

The fact that he was signed surprises me.

By saying you're surprised he was signed by an NL team is implying he is suited for the AL. Unless I'm misunderstanding.
