So....another catcher with no MLB managing experience?

Wonder how this will turn out.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Can't go any worse than all the experienced managers that the M's have tried to hire in the last decade.

I remember him. He was a (pun intended) serviceable guy back in the day. I think he'll do well with game management on the pitching side at the very least.

Interesting to see this guy. Hopefully he's smarter as a manager than McClendon, who cost us SO many games this year with mostly bad bullpen management

I doubt he'll be as dumb as McClendon. The only other guy in recent times that was dumber would be Bo Porter.

That's crazy! Going from GM to a 1B coach. I don't think i've heard of that happening before.

Also, it's Amaro's first ever coaching job. He joined the Phillies front office right after his playing career ended.

If these guys go to free agency, how much do people think it might cost for someone like that? I'm thinking the C and relievers would only be a few million each, but don't know for sure. And SP, I'd say anywhere from 15-25M maybe? Not sure how much guys typically would go for, which is why I'm asking.

Man, I hope the Mariners pick up Jaso. Love him as a 2-hole hitter, or a bottom third of the order hitter. Also like how he's gotten more versatile on D, playing 1B and even playing LF a bit.

Old toys don't get more shiny over time. He's far from the player you remember when the A's got him from the Mariners.
