    Cubs: Another Rediculous Effort

GOD I'm pissed! I guess it will never end. Oh well, I'm just hoping the Dodgers can beat the Giants now. And when will management in Chicago realize one thing...Sammy Sosa sucks! Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad I can't stand it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 strikeouts...TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the one time he didn't strike out what did he do??? Oh, hit into a double play! This guy is WAY past his prime and so overrated! I hope he's not there next year. He hurts the Cubs much more than helps. The Cubs will lose in the first round if they don't start getting some runners on base and hitting for more than just home runs!!! Again, SOSA SUCKS!

Don't bottle it in, tell us how you really feel.

But yes it's really obvious this year that Sosa has pretty much been going only for the long ball and it really hurts the team. 4 K's and a double play? Sounds like he's trying to lose to the Mets.

Its not just this game. I've said it all year, I've watched far more Cubs games than ever this year because I have MLBTV on my computer so I've probably watched close to 80 Cubs games and I've got to see Sosa strike out again and again and again and again and again and again and foul a ball off and strike out again and again and again and again and again...he's so terrible. There comes a point when you have to stop looking at him as such a superstar and start judging him by what he does on the field, which is nothing. He's going to SERIOUSLY hurt what little chances the Cubs have on going to the World Series this year and I wish Baker step up and do something, regardless of his name.

yeah i heard hendry wants to trade him. I read somewhere that he hasn't been the same since he got beaned in the head last year, and that he stands farther away from the plate. But with sosa either your going to get about 3 or 4 strikeout/groundout/flyouts and an occasional hr.

Also the may not resign nomar or matt clement, but they want to lock up aramis ramirez, but i'd rather they kept clement rather than nomar and maybe sign cabrera or renteria.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Sosa is trying way to hard to crush the ball and he's killing his team like said above. He needs to adapt to a different style of play for the rest of his career rather than being one dimensional as he is now.

At least your team is still alive. The Reds have turned into the pre-Marvin Lewis Bengals in all facets of the franchise. BTW, I was not happy to see the Cubs bullpen blew a win for Prior. I'm in a tight race in my rotisserie league and needed a W. I know that isn't as important as the real thing, but like I said, my favorite team sucks yet again. Fantasy leagues are all I have to root for each year in baseball anymore.

I hear you Gagnon39. I'm really busy these days, and I don't get to see too many Cubs games, but I saw today's. Sammy was brutal. First bad outing for the bullpen in awhile too. It all kinda fell apart real quick today at the end. Too bad. Prior pitched well.
