As for Troy Glaus, with his shoulder as tore up as it is, it's unlikely he will ever be able to play 3B again, he has said that he does not want to be a full time DH at the age of 28, so it's more than likely he will move to 1B. A return to the Angels probably means a couple of things: how much they are willing to pay for a DH, and can they trade Jose Guillen, the ladder being the bigger issue. If they can trade Guillen (who, according to Rex Hudler has heard from 4 other teams about playing for them), they could move Garrett Anderson back to LF and Darin Erstad back to CF and play Glaus at 1B, but with Casey Kotchman ready to play i'm not sure they would committ to Glaus long term. My guess is to look for Glaus in another uniform next season (Tigers, Giants, Orioles).
As far as I'm concerned Glaus is a goner. The Angels have McPherson at 3B and Kotchman at 1B. By not re-signing Glaus, Appier, Sele, and others they have a boat load of cash freed up to reload this off-season. I wonder how much Glaus will command. His injury problems the past 2 years will hurt his value but I wonder how much. I figure he will be in the 6-8 mil range and I hope the Jays take a run at him.

I don't know about that ranking list/. Pedro Martinez behind Richie Sexson, Troy Glaus, and Delgado?

But, wow, thats a lot of big name free-agents this year, even though I'm sure half will be re-signed.

I just hope the Braves can retain our two big name FA in JD Drew and Jaret Wright. I think Wright owes us something for giving him another shot. Leo basically saved his career.

Also, Paul Byrd is a FA, but he has pretty much said that he will resign with ATL for below market due to him robbing us of like 8 million for last year and the first part of this season. That is pretty "stand-up-ish" for him to do something like that.

EDIT: Russ Ortiz is a FA, also.

Man, it looks like Atlanta's rotation could take a major hit if deals aren't worked out.

I'm pretty sure Wright will re-sign, and from what you said, that Byrd will. I'm hoping that Ortiz will be back next year, as he was a big part of the team this season. He has post-season experience, and no matter what team you're talking about, you can always use some more veteran leadership.

Now, it'll be interesting to see what JD Drew does in the offseason. I'd LOVE to have him back, as he was a consistant hitter in our lineup this year, (even if he is struggling right now in the NLDS). He brings so much to the table, and it'll be tough trying to fill his void, if he decides to bounce, in rightfield.

Pedro is going to want huge money, and a long term deal.

And then he's probably going to get injured.

                      If Pedro's demand's aren't that high I would've moved him up, but I don't see him taking a 2 year deal with a team option for a 3rd.

Pedro will likely be back in Boston next season.

The Braves rotation may wind up looking like:
                          Mike Hampton
                          John Thomson
                          Horacio Ramirez
                          Paul Byrd

as for the 5th spot, Jose Capellan pitched pretty well as a starter in AAA (4-2, 2.51 ERA), earlier this spring Leo Mazzone made a comment saying he believed that Juan Cruz could be a solid major league starter, and the Braves will likely bring a couple of Pitchers to training camp. So even if the Braves lose Ortiz and Wright they still won't be to bad off.

i think pedro will probably be the biggest bust out of all of these players. Now a days red sox fans are happy if he only gives up 3 runs in about 6 or 7 innings
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.
