They saw the Yankees sweating it out and even though they didn't win the Red Sox gotta be feeling mighty good.

Unless Lieber comes out and pitches like Mussina tonight I see the Red Sox winning tomorrow even though every time Pedro pitches the only thing we're going the hear is the "Who's you daddy chant"
Gotta love those silly Red Sox fans. Alternately, having lost the one game everyone assumed they would win and staring the possibility of their ace getting his brains beaten in once again come game four, Pedro a) cracks under the pressure b) throws the game in an attempt to get Steinbrenner to sign him to an above market deal next year c) has a seizure on the mound after watching video of last year's game seven.

Only a Red Sox fan could take a punch in the face and think it means good news...

Yea.. while the Sox seem like they're starting to turn the corner as far as dealing with the Curse garbage.. they still got a ways to go.

Lieber vs. Martinez.. hmm.. I know I'm nuts but I'm gonna give the advantage to Lieber. Martinez just doesn't seem like the top pitcher in baseball anymore to me. He seems to have been missing something the last few years, IMO.

If I were the Yankee fans.. I'd be careful tonight.. think about this: It MIGHT be Pedro's last start in Yankee Stadium as a member of the Boston Red Sox. It MIGHT not be Pedro's last start in Yankee Stadium if the Yankees do not win the World Series... an angry Steinbrenner = tons of free agent signings and he very well could be one of them.

Im not sure who will win but in some ways I have more confidence in teh Sox after last night. Seriously, if the Sox had won last night people would be invoking curses and what not. Now this is not an issue as the Red Sox have to focus on playing ball rather than that. Worrying about not winning is a luxury people often are confronted with when they are ahead. Remember the Red Sox won game one last year, so what game 1 means, Im not sure. One thing about it though: you can definitely see that these are the two preeminent teams in the AL. What other team would have come back like that? Like I said, this is the closest thing we have nowadays to SF vs Dallas in the 90s.

Since when did I become a Red Sox fan?

Time to put a dagger in the Red-Sux.

It will look something like this:

                  Then this:

                  Followed by this:

                  Ending with this:

Red Sox do not stand a chance. The Yankees have an unbreakable aura (man, I cant' stand them) that the Red Sox have know chance of breaking.

It was game 1 people, get over it because game 2 starts tonight.

The Yankees are just another baseball team, there is no "unbreakable aura" around them otherwise they would have won the World Series last year. The job of the Red Sox is to win one of the first two games, split on the road and take 2 out 3 at home. They got to game seven last year with Pedro Martinez, Derek Lowe, Tim Wakefield, and John Burkett as their starters. Right now, Arroyo is better than both Burkett and Lowe of a year ago and Schilling normally would be but he is injured and can't be counted on for the rest of the series. Let the players do the talking because no one on these boards is going to decide the series.

I think the one guy in the picture with Pedro walking off the mound is showing Pedro what jersey he could be wearing next year!
