It's not a sweep, oh well. The series is still in the bags.

Absolutly great game, I'm glad stayed up and watched it if only to see the Yankees lose. Nice to see them come to earth espically Rivera, because at about 11- 11:30 here in NY all the TV shows were already previewing a Yankees /Cards or Yanks/Astros World Series.

Red Sox are still in a HUGE hole, but at least they avoid the sweep and live to play another day. Going into game 5 the Red Sox have got to be feeling the momentum. Knowing they were 3 outs away from elimination and came back against the greatest post season closer is probably making them very happy. The Yankees have to come out tommorrow top of the 1st and stick it to Pedro if they want to kill the momentum.

Should be a good one I hope we see a game 6

Francona just said Schilling will pitch game 6 if they get there.

Yes that's what would have happened. There are no ties in baseball(unless it's an all-star game with Bud Selig there). The game goes until somebody wins.

I highly doubt it unless someone can show me an instance where an MLB game went past 5 or 6 in the morning.

What would they do call it a tie because it went too long? No way, they would let the game finish it self off. Not to mention the outlash from fans. MLB got hit hard for calling the All-Star game a tie, imagine what would happen if they did it espically in a playoff game, in extra innings, with the Yankees- Red Sox. What would they tell the people who stayed up? What about the people at the park? "Sorry it's after 1:30 we're not going to finish the game. We know you paid all this money to see a winner but we promise to play the rest tommorrow."?

No chance they stop the game. It goes till somebody wins.
