I agree that he isn't as effective later in the game but this had nothing to do with that. It was a good pitch and a good piece of hitting by Jeter.

    Why let him face Matsui?!?

You gotta love how the Pro-Yankee announcers won't point out the fact that Cairo was out at the plate. Varitek got him on the arm before his hand went over the plate.

As I've said before, I'm neither a Red Sox or Yankee lover, but these announcers are so pro-Yankee it is disgusting.

pedro had good stuff, but yet again, it wasnt enough...nobody "beat" him really until jeter...thats why he had those walks, those guys are too dangerous, cant give em reason, throw ball after ball, and hope for a DP

I think it's pretty likely we've seen the last pitch thrown by Pedro as a Red Sox.

I don't think the Sox'll keep a guy that can only go 5 strong innings before completely shutting down. Someone out there might go after him.. but they got to know what they are getting. A pitcher that kicks butt for 5 innings then.. boom.

I'll have to look at it again, but they showed about 5 replays, and he looked safe to me.

                            I'll watch it again though.

Was there any need for the webmd "broken heart" graphic. God I hate Fox. Who comes up with this garbage? Do they actually think its clever? Shoot me.
