I'm a fan of the scheduling decision to have the Mets in Kansas City to see the banner get raised.

I think all leagues should do it. Opening Night of the season Championship loser goes to Championship winner to watch banner get raised.

Also really love these white and gold jerseys for the Royals.

Schulman is doing the Mets/Royals game. I think you meant John Schiambi?

I want to get on Twitter and see people complain about Jessica Mendoza*, but I'm staying off of it to avoid spoilers for another event happening tonight.

*For the record, I think Mendoza is good at her job, and like hearing her coverage and insight.

I find Rick Sutcliffe and Glanville amenable even if they are mostly old school guys which offer the usual platitudes. After that I have watched with the mute on, listening to music. Still waiting for the "only game ambient" sound option to be available on TV.

Wait, huh, did the Royals change their caps or am I going nuts?

I swear they had hats with a crown over the KC. Now there's no crown.

That was their ST hat, and Volquez wore it out in the 1st inning. The rest of the team had the traditional hat with gold trimming

Okay so now they're talking about it.

My fiancee responded, "Thank God he changed his hat or they would have to stop the whole game..."

So espn can't afford to have two former mlb players do color or what. I'm all for equal job opportunity but it's getting a bit ridiculous.
