Re: 4/3 - 4/17 Game Discussion Thread
I had completely forgotten that Davis was included in the Shields/Myers trade. I remember on this forum how Moore was ripped to shreds for making that deal..I'd say it has worked out quite well for the Royals."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. That's an odd train of thought for someone who's "all for equal job opportunities".Boston Red Sox

Equal job opportunity when you can do the same job. I just don't feel she can in this instance. Just because you can talk doesn't make you a good baseball analyst.Comment

Re: 4/3 - 4/17 Game Discussion Thread
Her analysis has always been as good if not better than any player who played and she communicates in a very down to earth way. You say "they could do better", but she does better than Joe Morgan, Curt Schilling, etc ever did. The bonus is we don't have to hear about "how good she was in her day" stories."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Honestly, I'd rather have someone who does the prep work and can communicate ideas. I think it's too early to tell if Mendoza is any good or not, but from what I remember, she was a pretty high level softball player and is a life long baseball fan. It's not like they just picked her out of a crowd like they do for sideline reporters.
