Kimbrel is so ordinary now. Used to pretty much automatic with Atlanta.

Not sure how you can say that after 2 hits, but whatever works. Dude was 5 for 5 in save opportunities with 14 Ks and only giving up 3 hits going into the game.

Phillies definitely won that trade by selling high on Ken Giles. Isn't even closing and has been abysmal.

You keep saying that and, after 3 weeks that's true. Is it still true after 3 years though? Who knows?

Houston made the move, not as a team needing a complete overhaul but rather looking to shore up a bullpen that didn't have any flamethrowers in it.

If Giles rounds back into form and helps the Astros get to, or win, a World Series at some point down the line then Houston will not care who "won" the trade. I think Giles will get back on track but, of course, have no idea if the Astros will win a title at any point.

This trade, like so many others involving teams at the opposite ends of the spectrum, is about filling a need(s) for your club. It has little to do with "winning" the trade.

Edit: In addition to Gyorko, 44 other players have more home runs than the Braves so far this season.
