Cubs are nasty. Living up to all the hype thus far. Best record in baseball and a +46 run differential in 14 games. We're outscoring fools by over 3 runs per game.

And the offense hasn't really started clicking yet. The depth is crazy. Only 2 regulars hitting over .250 right now (Fowler and Montero)

Don't want to harp on this sensitive topic too much, but it seems like the reports of Heyward being "blitzed" with epithets were greatly exaggerated.

Thank goodness. Even though of course, the damage is done already. The narrative is already out there that ESPN picked up audio, that Cardinals fans are just backwards, etc.

I'd say if Deadspin and ESPN can't find anything even with their penchant for drumming up things of this sort, then that's a good thing for everyone involved.

Idk about racial slurs being said but Monday night baseball game being called by curt schilling is just bad. Thank God MLB tv didn't black it out even though it was a national TV game.

How does schill still have a job ?

I knew it was at least sensationalized when I saw where it was coming from. I figured it was like one or two guys near one of the mics. You can hear some pretty interesting things coming from the crowd at any stadium if you're really paying attention.

The thing I find weird is that several seemingly unrelated people on Twitter said they heard something around the time it supposedly happened. Maybe they all misheard?

I don't know if relying on whether a player heard the taunts is a good indication that there weren't any. I'm sure lots of things said by fans aren't heard by the players.

Not saying this isn't true and that the Cardinals fans absolutely said what it being reported, but I don't think those sources definitively say it didn't happen.

Erick Aybar is horrible. In only 12 games, he has produced a -1.0 fWAR.

Rizzo gets robbed of a HR.

Hendricks should've had a backwards K, ends up giving up a double. Then Holliday hits a wall-scraping HR.
