It's a nice stadium to take in a game. The enormous glass windows are a signature feature. Also, great for tailgating in the parking lot. Hopefully Bernie doesn't get much of a workout.

You gotta let me see Bernie slide at least once! Haha. Nice to take in a game as an impartial fan. I don't care who wins.

What?! ESPN actually having some variety in their baseball coverage?

Then again it's all results and the guy he brought in was good against lefties as well, but he chose the most unnecessary of the 3 options.
Kershaw was looking vulnerable and would have been facing Granderson for the 4th time. As I'm sure everyone is sick of hearing by now, you get worse the more you face the same batter in a game because of fatigue and hitter familiarity. If the Dodgers had been winning 10-0, sure, give Kershaw the benefit of the doubt and let him face Granderson, but in a close game where one swing of the bat can lose the game, no, you have to use the quick hook and hand the ball off to a fresh reliever.

Which brings us to the bullpen choice. Adam Liberatore in his career has a .260 wOBA against lefties. Jansen's a little better against lefties (.251 wOBA), but Granderson is notoriously much better against righties (.369 wOBA) than lefties (.306 wOBA). Jansen's a lights-out closer, of course, but you're sacrificing a dramatic platoon advantage by having him pitch there than you would in giving the ball to a guy who's basically just as good in shutting down lefties.

Roberts made the right decision. He's just getting criticized by people who are looking at the result rather than the process. If Liberatore doesn't hang a slider that Granderson crushes, we're not really debating this.

                Happy Memorial Day, all!

As 3:00 PM ET passed, we got moments of silence in ballparks throughout the nation. As some games have reached their 7th innings, we are getting great renditions of God Bless America.

This particular one be my favorite of all time...

Getting to the point where I'm embarrassed to be an Orioles fan. Such a pathetic team.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Zobrist batting leadoff with Fowler getting the day off. Interesting.

Holding Russell at 3B on that single by Ross makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER given it's Carl Crawford's pea shooter they decided to not run on..Oops. Now have to avoid the GIDP with Hammel up. Boneheaded decision to not send him.

Russell has to score on that base hit by Ross. That was terrible baserunning.. he was jogging to 3rd assuming he would get held up.

OK, overreaction time. If the Cubs don't score here, fire the 3B coach on the spot in between innings. Those guys are a dime a dozen anyway.
