Re: Since the Yanks are on their way to the WS.......

Boy, I sure love when asianflow makes these predictions when a game/series isn't over. You'd think he'd learn

Not saying that the Red Sox WILL come back and win, but come on. It's not over till it's over, especially in baseball when anything can happen. Bronson Arroyo needs to have a HUGE game to keep us in the series, because if the Yankees win tomorrow, it's over. I just PRAY that the Sox can sweep at home these next three games, then head back to Yankee Stadium to take one.

    GO SOX!

And as for the Jays, I'm just hoping they can win 75 games next year. The team has no offence or bullpen. And to make matters worst they don't have the payroll budget to sign the Grade A FA's to help the club.
No one expected KC to have the year they had in '03 so anything is possible. Let's not dismiss things offhand. Realistically it may not happen but I DO see the BoSox faltering next year.

BTW to all the people saying that Boston has a chance. Yes they have a chance to make the series exciting but I cite a stat: in the last 13 LCS' the team trailing 2-0 has never won the series.

I don't see Boston finishing lower than 2nd next year. Even if they lost a couple of their FA's they will be replaced by other FA's. They know the fanbase isn't going to be happy with a .500 team.

The O's, Jays, and D-Rays are too far behind in terms of player talent to overtake the Red Sox next season.

What will be intersting is to see how the AL East shapes in 3 years when a lot of current players on the Yanks or Red Sox will either be retired or finishing off their careers. Of course if both teams sign young FA's and draft well they will be in good shape, but history shows us both teams won't continue to dominate forever. Both will crash and burn sometime in the future but not next season.

I highly doubt that the Sox come back, especially with Arroyo, Wakefield and Lowe pitching the next 3 games.

4 out of 5 games isn't that bad when you're playing 3 of those games at home. I really do not understand how people can say it's over when the two games played have been played at one team's stadium.

I know it would be 1-1 if one game had been played in Boston.

Yankees have a clear edge in game 5. Mussina's been awesome, and Lowe sucks.

First off.....Asianflow needs to stop with the outlandish claims so early on during series/games.

Second off, there is not one, but TWO threads going on that you can talk about this series. One is the running commentary, and the other is the specific ALCS thread. Why clutter the boards?
