Al Leiter does show some grips when they do a shot of the booth. but i agree, scooter has to die.

I made a thread about a week ago titled just that "Scooter needs to die", or something similar...

I find it cool when they have Leiter showing us some grips, I'm one of those people who follow baseball, but never played, so don't know the specifics of stuff like that. Scooter just annoys the hell out of me, he's definitely the plan of a marketing flub who said "Let's educate the kids in a fun manner"...I wish they brought this crap out during the regular season, to see if people liked it, rather than drop it on us during the postseason. There's more than enough to care about in the postseason, it's the regular season where that filler like scooter might fit in. Might I say, because I still believe Scooter needs to go the way of Jar Jar Binks.

I've hated Joe Buck and Tim McCarver for years. Leiter is somewhat tolerable. The other two are just morons and say the dumbest things I've ever heard, just so out of context.

A) McCarver talking about the Yankees bunting alot to make Schilling move, yet he starts discussing this with runners on 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs, and Posada at the plate. Pick a right time to do it pal.

B) Apparently the Red Sox have added two pitches to their staff for the ALCS, I'd like to introduce you to Brandon Arroyo and Bill Wakefield.

C) They are TRYING to force the rivalry here, trying to force The Curse. They precursor nearly every play just incase it's the "Grady Little Move" of '04 with a warning that THIS very play might change the entire series, it's disgusting.


There are plenty more, but my brain just hurts thinking about it. Thank God for Charley Steiner and John Sterling.

Is it me or does Fox add a "popping" sound (like a cork popping off a bottle) when they are showing replays of a well hit ball? How freakin' annoying is that?

Their coverage is getting pitiful.

I swear I was about to throw a shoe at my TV when McCarver was saying that a "walk was as bad as a a HR" in that situation. I would kill to find out what kind of cross-eyed looks Leiter is giving him after he makes those type of idiotic comments.

I swear I was about to throw a shoe at my TV when McCarver was saying that a "walk was as bad as a a HR" in that situation. I would kill to find out what kind of cross-eyed looks Leiter is giving him after he makes those type of idiotic comments.

That's funny, beacuse I've always thought of Joe Buck being one of the few announcers I can stand in watching baseball. Although I only like him around playoff time, beacuse thats when I watch baseball the most. Again as I said earlier I'd rather listen to Barney the dinosaur announce baseball games than ever hear the voice of Bob Costas again.

During the time Costas was doing baseball playoff games in the 90's I wouldn't even watch. And I had to force myself to listen to him during the NBA Finals back then.

Yeah I heard that too. And the funny thing was the slower the replay was the longer the popping sound was.
