    breaking news from espn

    espn's jeremy schapp reports that caminitti died of a drug overdose. it was just on the bottom line during the miami vs lousvillle football game. just sad to hear it was over dose

    Sad, but not surprising after hearing about the guy's huge struggle with drugs. I think he tested positive several time for cocaine after being put on house arrest.

        good heads up.. i also read in a local paper that a friend he was with that day was saying that he acted very "edgy"

                Dude if you're not going to post anything constructive in any of Caminiti's thread, don't even post at all. All you've done is disrespect the guy and made inappropriate comments about him.

                Back on topic, from the stories I read from people from that area where he died, I was pretty sure it wasn't a heart attack and what do you know, it turns out it wasn't. He tried getting out of it but once you're an addict it's hard to stop. The Padres tried to help him out in several ways. You can only do so much about one person.

                  Back on topic, from the stories I read from people from that area where he died, I was pretty sure it wasn't a heart attack and what do you know, it turns out it wasn't. He tried getting out of it but once you're an addict it's hard to stop. The Padres tried to help him out in several ways. You can only do so much about one person.

                        Too bad he fell into such a dark life. I remember chearing for him because as I read somewhere that you couldnt help but like him for the way he played the game. It just goes to show that the game of life is bigger than the game of baseball, and that should put things in perspective a little bit. Hopefully people can learn from his mistakes. RIP Ken.
