    Thank goodness too.

I'm disappointed with the Astros going just 6-4 on a 10-game home stand that included the White Sox, M's and A's but at least Texas did their part to help Houston gain some ground.

Incredibly nonsensical to have the Futures Game not be during the day tomorrow. Or if you're going to have it tonight, make sure there's no Sunday Night Baseball game. Not that I'd even watch that crap, but it makes no sense to have All-Star Festivities commence while a regular game is still going on.

Phillies laying the beat down on the Rockies right now 10-2. Maikel Franco just killed a baseball for a 471ft 3-run homer. Went onto the concourse in left field.

I don't think you can take away half of a season's worth of data and say someone is having a good season.

Nice to see he's pitching effectively. I love when knuckleballers do well.

Oh I know, This is the 2nd year in a row where Dickey started off pretty slow then got stronger as the year went along.

Impressive no doubt...we truly have a glut of outstanding 3B in this game right now with Arenado, Bryant, Carpenter, and Lamb in the NL and Machado, Longoria, Seager, and Donaldson in the AL.

                Some stats...

                Code:
                Arenado 23 HR 70 RBI 60 R .287/.359/.570 125 wRC+ .387 wOBA 3.5 fWAR

                Bryant 25 HR 65 RBI 73 R .286/.384/.578 153 wRC+ .403 wOBA 4.5 fWAR

                Carpenter 14 HR 53 RBI 56 R .298/.420/.568 162 wRC+ .414 wOBA 3.4 fWAR

                Lamb 20 HR 61 RBI 49 R .290/.371/.615 152 wRC+ .408 wOBA 3.5 fWAR

                Machado 19 HR 53 RBI 62 R .318/.375/.569 144 wRC+ .392 wOBA 4.1 fWAR

                Longoria 19 HR 47 RBI 47 R .290/.338/.527 129 wRC+ .360 wOBA 3.2 fWAR

                Seager 18 HR 61 RBI 54 R .287/.365/.537 139 wRC+ .376 wOBA 3.2 fWAR

                Donaldson 23 HR 63 RBI 80 R .304/.418/.598 167 wRC+ .424 wOBA 5.2 fWAR

And that's without counting guys like Matt Duffy, Justin Turner, Anthony Rendon, Martin Prado, Maikel Franco, Yunel Escobar, Nick Castellanos, Todd Frazier, or Adrian Beltre who are solid players.

We may see 3B win both MVP awards this year (Donaldson and Bryant).

                  Side note fact about Arenado:

He's said a couple of weeks back we've been saying his name wrong. It's RR-eh-nah-doe and note AIR-eh-nah-doe.

One of the unnecessary wrinkles I pink up in my brain from watching MLB Network.

Looking forward to 2nd half of season. First time going into all star break, I actually feel like Jays got realistic shot of making the playoffs. Even last year, before the deadline, they were headed for another typical Jays season(not horrible, but not playoff bound either).

But this year, going into the break with their best record since 1992, it's at least encouraging. Especially seeing how they did most of this without a healthy offense, and struggling bullpen. Only 45 or so games this year they've had both Tulo and Bautista in the lineup together, they've played 91.

All the extra offdays they got compared to O's,Red Sox, definitely should be beneficial to them. The way things are going, this could be first time that 3 teams in same division made the playoffs in the AL. O's-Jays-Red Sox are currently 3 of the top 5 teams in the AL.

Such a joke Seager isn't in the ASG. .290 18 HR 64 RBI. Wasn't even on the final vote ballot, even though he has superior numbers to those that were. Makes no sense. Cruz sould be there too. But Seager got ripped off.
