Not surprised with this. Long top of the 9th. Madson asked to go two innings.

It took 17 games, but finally the road team won a game in Jays vs Rockies. 14-9 final score, but despite that, just 4/23 runs were because of home runs.

Game ended just after 1am local time(past 3amEST). And to make it worse, these two teams play again less than 12 hours after this game was finished(1pm local time today,3pmEST)

4-0 Cubs. Contreras continues to rake.

I tell ya, if i'm the Cubs I try to keep as many of the prospects as I can and only deal some when you REALLY need to. That farm system is going to pay off for years to come.

Might not know what you need until you're eliminated from the playoffs. At that point it could be too late.

Good point, I do think they need an experienced bat and another middle innings type reliever.

Just got done re-watching the Cubs-Reds game from last night. Here's a list of who played LF for the Cubs last night...

                      Willson Contreras
                      Chris Coghlan
                      Matt Szczur
                      Travis Wood
                      Spencer Patton
                      Pedro Strop

Jason Hammel was used as a pinch hitter.

This is one the reasons baseball is so great.

It's hard to believe John Farrell was actually a decent pitching coach. SMH.

Damn, Brock Stewart strikes out the side in the 1st in his MLB Debut, next inning... gives up 5 runs after Puig's error.
