Re: 6/27 - 7/10 Game Discussion Thread
Good News: Pirates won against the Cards, a game over .500, Polanco homered twice.
Bad News: Taillon is on the DL now with "shoulder issues". Should injuries for pitchers scare me, especially ones that have already had Tommy John.Comment

It's a crying shame that Sanchez will have to be thrown into the bullpen due to innings limit. The guy has been nothing short of spectacular for the Jays this season.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I feel like if we had even one more guy with an OPS around .800 that could hit behind Freddie, we'd be a .500 team.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

I'll amend my D-Bag statement about that guy who got into the Ft. Bragg stadium.
He definitely made some bad decisions in going to that game.....but he donated 100 dollars per ball to a veteran's group and gave all 11 balls he collected from it to others(charities?...kids?...don't know)
He also publicly apologized and it sounded pretty sincere.
So props to him for that.

Yea he's been doing the $100 per ball all year I think. And it's something over 200K so far this year.

Shoulder injuries have very little correlation with previous Tommy John surgery. But it should be concerning nonetheless as they tend to be more difficult to return from.Comment

Agreed. Hoping it's a phantom DL stint to limit his innings/give a bit of a rest with the All Star break.Comment

Re: 6/27 - 7/10 Game Discussion Thread
LOL at Hample apologizing. Apologizing for what? He's done this for years, he knows what he's doing. Donating money is cool, and giving the balls away is also cool, but I have to question this pathological need to catch baseballs lol. Seriously, he doesn't think it would mean more to the kids to catch the ball themselves? Ive sat in many a ballpark and never have I seen 11 balls fly toward 1 seat, which would mean he's trampling/reaching over others to get them. I remember there was one in Texas where he ran onto the hill and took it before a little kid got there. It's just bizarre lol.
There's no sincerity in his apology, he just wants to be left alone. I don't have a huge problem with that, but just the fact that I know this guy exists for the purpose we know him for is bizarre.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Found this out today about Freddie Freeman.
After a .757 OPS in April/May, he's had a 1.098 OPS since.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Reds up 5-0 on the Cubs in the 3rd.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
