Good grief, and they were showing this game on local TV here. I should've watched it

    Glad Remy's okay though.

Yea it's been a bad game so far. Each pitcher given up at least 4 runs (Price 4, Nolasco 6 through 4 and 3 respectively). And people are getting on Price because he is pitching this bad against a bad Twins lineup, when he gave up all of his runs when pitching in those bad weather conditions. I said to most of the people I saw on Twitter if this was Steven Wright pitching (our best pitcher) we would be down by 10+ runs.

And just after I finished posting this, the wind takes a ball like completely away from Nunez that dropped on the IF dirt for a single.

Bad Twins lineup? They aren't that bad, just ask Texas. They have legit MLB hitters- Sano, Kepler, Dozier, Nunez, Mauer (not tonight, obviously), etc.

Sure, they aren't Boston or Baltimore, but they're not complete bums.

Yes, I have to say that twins lineup has a chance to be special. That pitching rotation is just well.... *** to be frank.

And that's the problem with the twins.

Rough start for Lester. It's almost comical how bad he is at doing anything other than pitching a baseball.

I won't argue the interpretation of the rules anymore because I don't understand them which pretty much makes my opinion null.

But can someone explain this to me?

Runners at 1st and second, ground ball to SS who throws it to second to initiate the double play and on the field the throw to first was never completed. After review, the slide into second was deemed illegal so they rule the runner at first out but then send the runner who had avanced to third back to second????

That last part is what I don't get, regardless of what happened, he would have been standing at third with two outs. Why is he moved back to second?

                    Pirates/Phillies game BTW.

Yeah that's pretty weird. The only thing I can think of is with interference (which I guess is what the call at 2B is), the runners return to their original spots on the bases.

After the commercial that's what they said. Basically interference voids the play and everyone not involved goes back to their original starting position which seems off to me but I'm sure there's a scenario where it could make sense.

Jose Altuve has 2 homers and 5 RBI and we're in the 2nd inning. 8-0 Astros, as a sweep of the Angels (and 11 straight wins against them) seems imminent.

Giants commentators so dramatic lol. "Base hit...and it looks like the Giants are gonna run for a while!" I thought it was a bases clearing double or triple or something, I look up and it's a routine single with men from 2nd and 3rd scoring.

Umps are getting worse and worse. Noticed so many horrible strike/ball calls this month alone. The potentially game deciding ones on Friday, and the horrible windmill styled strikezone by the ump today. Today at least it was bad on both sides, but still horrible. Multiple pitches close to being right down the middle, called a ball. Pitches at guys ankles called strikes, and ones almost in other batter box called strikes.

Umpires at all levels have always been bad and inconsistent at times. It's not an easy job.

It's just easier now to point out when they are wrong with the k zone's and whatnot.
