Big 3 game series in New York for the Cardinals. We trail the Mets by one game for the 2nd wildcard spot. We could put ourselves in the playoffs with a series sweep.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

3 game set against the Padres who've suddenly been playing better baseball of late (maybe that long rumored Upton deal gets done before they leave town?) then an important weekend series against the O's. The Blue Jays need to get back into that groove they had entering the All Star Break. Luckily Joey Bats is scheduled to be back and hitting lead off again.

Bautista coming back likely tonight, and first ever meeting between Jays and Padres in Toronto, should be a good series.

Red Sox need a bounce back week after a dreadful weekend 4-game series against the Twins.

Starts with Drew Pomeranz looking to redeem himself tonight. What the team REALLY needs is David Price stringing together a handful of starts that justify the paycheck. All out of patients when it comes to that guy.

The Cubs are looking like a juggernaut again with 3 series wins right out of the break, a 7.5 game lead, and the reported acquisition of Aroldis Chapman.

Astros hosting the Yankees with Alex Bregman debuting tonight. Word is that he play 3B tonight and bat 6th. It's also rumored that he will play LF Tuesday and DH on Wednesday.

                Go Astros!

After this was completed, I got really excited. Hopefully he doesn't cause any clubhouse issues, but it's gonna be fun to see 100+ most nights

I want to see Arrieta dominate the Sox for 7, Rondon/Strop/Montgomery pitch well in the 8th, and Chapman strike out 3 in the 9th

Astros talented, young infield retire the Yankees in order in the first. L6, 4-3, 5-3.

Then Springer homers on the first pitch in the bottom half. This is going to be fun.

EDIT: Bregman flied to left in his first AB.

Chapman isn't available for the Cubs until tomorrow

I think you got the wrong impression of Chapman man, Yankees brass loved him,his teammates loved him.

Said the Yankees were like family, this guy has been maligned by the media a bit. But as far as the Yankees are concerned, his reputation was stellar.

He's had some run-ins with the Cubs when he was in Cincy. It might be under the bridge, it might not. Hopefully it works out great.
