Re: 7/25 - 8/7 Game Discussion Thread
It's to the point where I half expect they are purposefully getting guys that are injury prone. Not that Norris is a high injury risk himself; he's been fairly durable throughout his career, but adding regular wear and tear into the mix with guys who are injury prone gets you an all-DL team like they have right now.
LA may want to reconsider their risk/reward model on injuries and/or their training staff personnel. As a Chicago Bulls fan, this Dodgers team reminds me of that--a team that has more than their fair share of incapacitated bodies.
LA is 8 games over .500 and in pole position for a Wild Card berth so they are in ok shape, but it is sort of ridiculous how they stockpile guys likely to get hurt. And this isn't a new "narrative" after the fact; you probably remember the buzz/criticism being the same in the preseason.
People just eventually have to accept that the Dodgers are a good, deep team.I write things on the Internet.

I don't know what they are since I don't get to watch them. *shrug*
Every time I tune into Sunday Night Baseball, I see the stupid strike zone crap and it pisses me off all over again. Too bad there doesn't appear to be a local broadcast I can switch to like I did during yesterday's Nationals/Giants game to avoid Tom Verducci's annoying ***.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 07-31-2016, 07:38 PM.Comment

I don't understand the plan for Matusz if he pitched 5 good innings does he go to the bullpen but they already have 3 better lefty's or was this more about giving the starters more rest.
It would've been great for this to be Hendricks start.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

Pretty fun to see the M's on Sunday Night Baseball. Bonus that they currently aren't embarrassing themselves. Long way to go though, so who knows.Comment

I think it was purely for rest. I'm sure Grimm will return to the 25 man roster tomorrowComment

I wonder what percentage of Jason Heyward's contact throughout his career has resulted in some soft *** trickling groundout.
It's always this "OOH, I ALMOST HAD IT" hit.Comment

Felix has caused a lot of swings and misses vs a very good Cubs lineup. Looks to have the rust worked out of his system.Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers

Rizzo having some poor at bats tonight. Looking at a thigh high fastball with 2 strikes and the bases loaded is not good. On the flip side, Felix's split-change has been very good.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

And just like that, Felix is off the rails. A BB and then a HBP to force in 2 runs. Tying run at the dish.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
