Nice debut by Danny Barnes for the Jays too as he had a pretty good inning taking on some of Houston's best hitters.

The Jays' bats are still ice cold but they showed a little life tonight. Thank goodness Dickey had the good knuckleball tonight.

The deal when it first happened seemed abit risky, but now that Happ deal looks nice for the Jays. Even with Musgrove being a top 100 prospect and having a debut like that, can't be upset at trading him away.

Why don't umps have to make statements about everything else they do in games? They should be held accountable and have press conferences just like managers after every game.

I would LOVE to see umpire reports after every game. We could find out if our suspicions are real or not in regards to umpires having too short of a fuse in regards to ejecting players/managers.

It is strange how umps have that kind of power to eject fans. I've only seen it in MLB once before, when during that crazy 7th inning with Jays-Rangers, the home plate umpire and Rangers dugout decided to single out one random old guy in the entire angry crowd, to just eject. The stuff that happened in that game today sounds alot more serious though.

But surprised the ballpark staff themselves didn't do anything about it before. If someone is being too disruptive/vulgar, a regular fan isn't gonna go up to an usher and report that person, cause people don't want to cause drama/be "that guy", so they should be the ones listening and taking note of any fan who gets unruly.

Too bad Layne is with the Red Sox. No way they'd ever think about letting Jays get him, or at least not for anything less than an overpayment. Any non division team DFA him, I'd think/hope there's a realistic shot to get him.

Cano was 1-11 off Abad. Then again Zunino was 1-12 with 11 K's off Price. I guess that was the "They're due" inning.

Oh, and the feeling of actually having a real closer. Diaz K's the side in the 9th for his 1st career save. Now has 52 K's in 25 innings.
