Ouch. Ladendorf buried a throw in Addison Russell's shoulder blade from point-blank range. So close that Ladendorf hurt his hand smacking into Russell.

And the rout is on. Dillon Overton (9.33 ERA) never stood a chance. 7-0 Cubs in the 3rd inning.

Jays and Royals always make for drama don't they? Poor Donaldson at least he seems to be somewhat okay. He got knocked down by an errant changeup right by the cheek.

At least the Jays hung on to win after a bad error in the field by Barney.

I don't know what the deal is but Mike Trout absolutely murders Felix Hernandez every time they play.

That Donaldson pitch was scary. Literally an inch away from possibly ending his season. Thank goodness for the ear flap.

Liriano pitched good game. 2ER, 5Ks in 6IP. Not bad for s guy who's literally the 6th starter on the team. Picking up him AND 2 good prospects for a now AAA pitcher, huge steal.

Cubs announcers were talking about some promotion commemorating Darwin Barney's error-less streak at 2B. Then they mentioned he made 2 errors for the Jays tonight

Zunino looks like a completely different hitter from the last couple seasons. Whatever he worked on in AAA worked. His whiff % is way down, he's striking out less, putting the ball in play more, and walking more than he did previously. He's also seeing 6+pitches P/AB. Oh and he also has 6 HR in 13 games since getting called up, including a 3 run jack on a low curveball today. He'll never be a .300 hitter, but I don't think .260 with 30 bombs is out of the question going forward. He already plays GG level defense, looks like the bat might finally be arriving. But I've been disappointed before, so I'll reserve judgement.

My only worry is perhaps you're underestimating him.

Jeez...that was a terribly pathetic ejection by the home plate umpire in the Cubs-A's game. He basically just pointed...Get into Blue!!

For sure. 13 games worth is a great sample size to gauge future production. Especially ignoring the previous 1000 plate appearances.
