So if you were at a job you loved, and someone offered you BOATLOADS more to do the same job in a different city, you'd say no?

Also, you said he's juiced his whole career, so are you now saying that 1995 is tainted?

It's weird how that player/fan dynamic works sometimes. I wasn't a baseball fan at the time so I didn't really get into specifics, but a lot of other Orioles fans despise Mike Mussina to this day because he left even though the Yankees offered him a ridiculous contract and our ownership gave him an embarrassing lowball offer.

It's always a completely different double standard. I guarantee you that anyone would jump at a better offer in any walk of life. Why not? I have no ill will towards a player when he takes the offer and runs...

I won't either in 99% of the situations. That 1% being where a player holds a 1 hr TV special and doesn't tell his team beforehand that he is leaving. Then I will hate said player forever.

honestly I don't get it. He was absolutely awful in the NL after coming from the AL it's usually the other way around.

He was actually really good until about mid May, then had a bad stretch, then pitched pretty well in his spot start right before the ASB.

I must admit, for as much as I absolutely hate A-Roid, if he puts out a book I'm gonna read it.

Also fitting that his last career start is coming in the same venue as his first career start.
