Kris Bryant with dinger #28 way out onto Waveland. Cubs methodically picking apart the Angels and looking for 8th in a row.

Just watching NYY/BOS tonight, I think the Yankees need to seriously think about moving Severino to the bullpen permanently. I don't think I've ever seen him pitch "well" once as a starter.

I mean, it's just not like the Yankees to excessively hype an under-developed starter in the minors and call him up to the bigs, only to find he's wildly successful as a reliever and woefully inadequate as a starter. He looks like a classic case of "skated by on velocity in the minors."

Braves are now only a game under .500 since July 1st and are 34-39 under Brian Snitker. Also...Mauricio Cabrera is straight up nasty. Guy throws 100-103 with regularity and I think we've found a future closer.

Kemp has solidified the lineup. And, with all the hype Wisler, Folty, Blair, get it's the guy they wanted to send to the pen who's pitched the best.

The hilarious thing about Jenkins is he's doing with smoke and mirrors in a way...his K/BB ratio is atrocious (he must fix that ASAP). That said, there are two things he's doing really well:

                    1) Keeping the ball down and getting double plays

                    2) getting better each time through the order...unheard of for a rookie.

                    I like him!

Giants lost. The Dodgers are currently up 9-3 on the Phillies. With the win that will put us 0.5 games back. Going into the All Star Break SF had a 7.5 game lead. All of this with guys on the DL left and right.

Edwin Diaz getting Miguel Cabrera swinging on 100 mph heat is pretty cool to see. Nice having that power arm at the closer spot. Hope he keeps it up.

Need the M's to finish this rally now.

Games behind the Giants on the day of Kershaw's last start (June 26th): 8

Games behind the Giants now: 0

I need my beauty sleep and the M's aren't cooperating.

Edit: That works, if we didn't win it there after tying, game would've gone another 8 innings. And it's 3 am

He was fine last year, pitched really well at times, Its way too early to talk about moving him to the pen permanently.

                                Gotta keep giving him opportunities.

Although I personally did not like the decision for him to make his first start since being demoted against the Red Sox, especially at Fenway.
