    Post-series handshakes stirs debate

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playof...ory?id=1905500

I see nothing wrong with it. Both teams playing hard and at the end showing sportsmenship.

I don't know about you guys but I don't want to see the Yankees-Red Sox or the Giants-Dodgers shaking hands after a game.

                Why?
It's sportsmanship, the game is over. I don't see one problem at all with it.

I like the fact that it's sportsmanship but seeing two huge rivalries (which has included violence) shaking hands would just be weird but I wouldn't mind if it went in effefct.

This makes me think of hockey and that Avs/Wings series and... Kris Draper I think it was. "I can't believe I shook that guy's friggin' hand."

Anyway, it wouldn't really bother me, though I agree it would be a little strange to see two bitter rivals like the Sox and Yanks shake hands after a hard-fought 7 game series.

My memory is a little fuzzy .... Draper actually shook the hand of Claude Lemeuix? Lemeuix cross checked Draper from behind and basically tried to disfigure his face. I think some of the Wings refused to shake his hand though.

That goes down as one of the biggest cheap shots in sports history.

I think if the Sox and Yanks shake hands tommorow it will show a lot of class from both sides. I want to see it.
