One of the most incredible throws I've seen. That **** stunned me.

As for the Dodgers/Giants.....well, this is infuriating. And I think Dave Roberts should get Manager of the Year, or since I guess Joe Maddon exists, he should at least get some consideration.

      Please get healthy Kershaw.

A postseason rotation of Kershaw/Hill/Maeda would be pretty solid.

I'd vote Roberts over Maddon...the sheer number of injuries that Roberts has had to juggle/deal with is mind boggling. If the Dodgers had faded away no one would have blamed them/him, but instead they've come charging back (aided by the Giants playing like crap). Maddon hasn't really had to deal with adversity on the same level and in some ways has hurt his team with his bullpen management (not that it matters since they've run away with the division). IOW, I don't necessarily think the manager on the best team should be the guy that gets it...and this year it's Roberts who has done the best job as a manager (behind Brian Snitker, of course ).

Yeah I'd go with Roberts over Maddon, too. Maddon has done a great job with managing the expectations for the team throughout the season, but the Dodgers have had SO many injuries and to walk down the Giants without Kershaw has been pretty crazy. I think Maddon ends up winning it, simply because the Cubs have been so dominant (assuming they don't falter like the end of the 1st half), but Roberts is more deserving in my mind.

We maintain our 1 1/2 game lead on the Marlins in the race for the 2nd wildcard. Next up is the series finale/rubber match with the Mets. We have Wainwright on the mound who has struggled his last two outings. Hopefully he is on tonight.

Yes, at least he walked off, so he can put pressure on it. Looked worse then it actually was

MOY will go to Roberts because of outperforming expectations that's basically what the award has been for years. It's never been about best manager.

For AJ Ellis. Really sucks to see AJ go, but Ruiz is an upgrade.

EDIT: Saw the Sportsnet LA interview with AJ after the trade was announced. Dude looked hurt; said he was personally devastated that he'll never catch another game for Kershaw. Ugh, tough to watch. Ruiz better hit for us.

Man, the Jays can't go into September with a lineup that can't do anything on a consistent basis especially with their big bugaboo historically in the Seattle road trip.

Matt Moore with a no-hitter through 8 innings, but he's at 118 pitches. Don't know if he can finish. Or if Bochy will let him.
