Sox are on fire and it feels like 2013 again!!!!

Can't lose focus now though. Gotta take the division first, and maybe take the #2 seed from Cleveland.

      Baseball hurts.

3 against Tampa, then 4 against Toronto, then 3 against Boston, then finally 3 against Baltimore to end it. We'd have to go Ham Newton and win every game left basically to sneak in, BUT I BELIEVE! Gary Sanchez has turned the final stretch of a mediocre team into must see baseball and I love it, not that I wouldn't watch anyway. It's going to be tough when the season ends.

Going back into hibernation until the Red Sox series is over. I miss 2 years ago when the division was a cakewalk and we clinched 2 weeks before the season ended.

Such a huge series at home against the Blue Jays coming up. Time to see if the Mariners can take advantage of it or fold under pressure like they usually do.

Cubs fans are pretty spoiled right now, and my only wish is that we don't back into the playoffs by ceding home field advantage to Washington. A 6 game cushion right now, but if Maddon wants to play it like Spring Training, there's plenty of time to get caught with 13 yet to play. Whether or not HFA has much value, it's more of a momentum thing, imo.

It's wild card or bust for the Jays or more likely they continue to circle the drain and Gibby and his staff are fired immediately.

If there's a time for this team to wake up and smell the coffee it's now.

Said this last night in the other thread. I expect the gap in the AL East to narrow by week's end. None of these teams have shown to be capable of pulling away from one another. The Sox finding themselves trailing the O's by a game wouldn't even surprise me. Hopefully I am proven wrong.

The Cardinals play their final 6 road games this week with 3 in Colorado and then 3 in Chicago. We finish up with 4 at home against the Reds, and then 3 against Pittsburgh.

One game out of the wildcard with 13 left to play. Come on boys!

Man, your 'other' Cardinals are looking tremendous right now!

No way. The way the Sox have played these last 4 games, and the way they've played in Baltimore this year, they'll clinch the division by early next week.

Yeah because the Sox haven't played out of their mind over a stretch only to have things swing in the opposite direction this season.

I think it's safe to say the Sawx will win the AL East but I think it's a different story in the playoffs. The rules of bullpen management changes greatly and we've seen some of the Red Sox relievers crumple under the pressure. Kimbrel may end up being exposed as a guy who can only get it done when he's in his comfort zone but blows up in a tied/trailing position.

Yeah I hate to say it because I hate the Red Sox and Mookie Betts' stupid face, but they've got the division locked down. They're probably going to humiliate us this week as per usual, and I don't see Toronto being able to make up 4 games.
