    Varitek to the Yankees possibly?

I too love Posada, I'd hate to see him go.

If that guy is a good prospect, I don't see why they'd want to do the Kendall deal then. I was unaware they had him. Kendall comes with a big salary and isn't worth his 10 Mil/Yr considering he's a singles/doubles hitter.

Not likely. I don't see any of the current Red Sox throwing away their legacy as the team that won a championship by going to the Yankees the year after. The Sox will do whatever it takes to keep Varitek.

Navarro is a year or two away from contributing as a starter.

As for letting go of Posada, I'm all for it. I watch him play everyday, and trust me, he's not that good. He goes into very long slumps, isn't very good defensively (despite improving), strikes out way too much, and doesn't do much in the clutch.

It's being rumord that Kendall will replace him, which I wouldn't mind, since he's a good contact hitter, which is something the Yankees need with the 100+ strikeouts from A-Rod, Jeter, Matsui and Giambi.

I don't think there's any way the A's would take on Posada's salary, unless the Yankees did an A-Rod type of thing, and paid most of his salary for the next two years...

Personally I wouldn't make the trade. Yes I know Posada isn't the greatest but he's one of the true Yankees out there and I believe he's a major reason for why the Yanks have been so good for a lot of years. He has the "intangibles" that make him a special player in NY. Of course not many ppl take tangibles seriously so yeah go with the trade but get a younger pitcher.

What is a true Yankee anyways? Don't mean to vent on you Sportsman but i'm so sick of people talking about the Yankees like they're above everyone else.

Well, Posada is one the few guys (Jeter, Rivera are others) that actually came through the Yankee system, instead of being poached from another team...
