Mike Mayers pitched well in his outing yesterday. 2 innings with no hits, no walks, and a strikeout. Sandy Alcantara on the other hand, not so well. 1 1/3 IP, 5 hits, 4 runs, and two walks.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Jays pitching looked a lot more crisp today against the Buccos. It's nice to see Stroman has continued to retool his delivery. He looks a lot better in terms of repeating his delivery and did very well on the mound.

Which game is he in playing in, the one against the Sox or the other one?

Also this why I love spring training. Split-squad Yankees are here in the Fort. 18 players in the 80s or 90s. Lowest number is Greg Bird, 33.

Tigers, and agreed, split squad games are glorious. Gary and Greg both go deep, the kids are ready for the real thing!

Temper that enthusiasm a little my friend. We've seen lots of (mostly) young teams have amazing springs and starts to their season only to struggle. Still, it's nice to see a different face to the Yankees franchise. I will still hate them but I will respect the youth movement.

Man...Wisler and Newcomb looked rough for the Braves tonight. They both have the stuff, but they are so "mechanical/robotic" on the mound (not in a good way) and lack the confidence in their stuff.

I have watched Wisler for 3 years now get ahead of guys 1-2, 0-2 and be unable to put them away...I know that developing pitchers is tough, but man, I'd like to at least see some progress.

                        Uh oh...

The Red Sox are holding their breath after sending in key lefty David Price for an MRI, as Jim Bowden of ESPN.com reports (Twitter links). For now, Price will just be held out of his next scheduled start while he heads for a second opinion. The broader outlook is not known, but manager John Farrell says there is concern given the degree of soreness Price is experiencing.

                          Well, glad we added Sale.

Edit: Apparently it is forearm soreness...

                              Yep...

9:48am: There is “serious concern” that Price may require Tommy John surgery, Bowden tweets.

Wow. This really dampers the mood for 2017 if Price is out for the season...read forearm, but everyone else is reporting elbow. Damn.
