Jorge Soler with an oblique injury and likely to DL. This dude is made of actual glass. Glad he's KC's enigma now.

Now that I've seen a whole ST with Heyward (or as many AB's as have been televised), I can say that...

... the swing we saw on Twitter does not match his current in-game swing, which looks more like his swing from last year.

Maybe he has a better approach, maybe he is more relaxed and less wrapped on grip and such, and maybe even during BP he is as studly as we saw on that one video... but it is not reflecting in-game.

I hope he does very well offensively this year and is a massive contributor for the Cubs on a daily basis, but IMO he still has a lot of work to do to get this routine down on a habitual basis.

Very neat Phillies tidbit from yesterday. They had split squad games against the Pirates and Tigers.

The Phillies won both of the games by a score of 8-2.

They had 13 hits in both games.

They walked twice in both games.

They struck out 10 times in both games.

        Crazy. Lol.

I came to this conclusion, too. Harold Reynolds did a break down on MLB Tonight the other day, and it's slightly better than it was, but it's not close to the swings he was taking off the tee from a few months ago. It's going to take a long time to change his in-game swing because he's going to naturally revert to what's comfortable. Hopefully he can get there, but we'll see.

My first (and currently only) time there, I went to the entire series against the Dodgers. I saw the first no-hitter in MMP history (which was also the first career no-no for Mike Fiers and first time catching one for Jason Castro), the next day was Jimmy Rollins' 500th double, and the next day I got to see Clayton Kershaw pitch and Jason Castro hit a walk-off in the 11th.

So Minute Maid will always have a special place in my heart.

So the Twins cut Byung Ho Park despite him being by far their best hitter in Spring Training, with "apparently" the highest OPS in the AL. But it'll be fine, as they plan to have Robbie Grossman as their DH instead. The Twins are weird

Minute Maid Park is a nice stadium but my eyes popped out seeing that picture. It never looked better in my life. Maybe it's just the angle and the clear blue skies that did it.

Sounds like an awesome experience so far though

I'm not quite sure why they have final ST games at MLB parks. Seems like the MLB parks should totally be reserved for Opening Day, no? Or is it "practice" for the workers and such too? I don't know.

I kinda hate the fact that Suntrust is going to open with an exhibition game tomorrow.

I also really hate that the season is going to open up officially on Sunday AND the first game is going to be at that DUMP, that ****HOLE Tropicana.
