Girardi is really experimenting with the cleanup spot.

I wonder if he read some of the articles about managers doing things like batting cleanup hitters leadoff, using closers in middle innings, etc and he said, "man, I need to start a thing. Oh, I know, cleanup spot is fantasy. It should be experimental. Swap bodies around. Doesn't matter the skill level. Let's go!"

I don't know what he's doing, and I'm someone that loves that Maddon is batting Schwerber leadoff and Bryant second.

I like the Schwarber thing too, and Carlos Santana leading off for Cleveland.

Well, the whole Castro batting second sure worked tonight.

If Jays keep playing like this then they'll make trade deadline alot more interesting this year for all wrong reasons.

No. Joey Gallo was Buxton the last two years.

Buxton is running out of time to get it right. This is an on going thing.

They should wait for Donaldson. That's a big injury for them.

                He's back in a month?

                  Interesting perspective on Buxton:

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I personally have no problem with him playing, especially if his speed and defense make up for a lackluster offense.

Only thing I couldn't stand any longer is playing him or having him on my fantasy lineup/roster, so I dumped him. The good news is, I plan on picking him up again once he starts putting it together. Nobody will even give him a second look and nab him before me in my league; I'm sure of it.

The other thing is I haven't watched him play yet, so I'd like to see his swing mechanics and decide whether he's worth saying: "Oh yeah, he'll definitely put it together." If he swings like Melvin Upton Jr., then there's possibly no chance that he does. I like what the FanGraphs author said, but he only backed things up with historical players' pasts. If Buxton doesn't turn things around mechanically, he may be screwed forever.

We'll see, but I agree that he should be playing. There are plenty of players hitting around .100 right now with significantly less strikeouts than he has that deserve to play as well.

Carlos Martinez just walked 4 guys, and struck out 3 in one inning.

Meanwhile Greg Bird can't hit a fastball down the pipe. And it happened twice in the at-bat. The third time he just looked at it.

                        Someone is struggling.

It's because he has a dead skunk on his head. Forgive him.

He and Carter just look awful at the plate right now.

Martinez line 6 KS 6 BBS in two innings. Wtf.
