The Mets and Syndergaard are ridiculous. This stuff seriously happened?

Pitchers are just flashes in a pan now. None of these guys stay healthy anymore.

I've watched Yankee pitcher after Yankee pitcher in the minors blow their arms out.

          It's just common practice.

Yea he "knew there was nothing wrong."

Then the Mets just let him throw anyways.

I think it's because guys are trained from an early age to throw as hard as they can...very few guys actually "pitch" anymore. I'd rather see a guy live in the 92-94 range with great command and be able to change speeds. I remember reading the book "The Yankee Years" and it mentioned that kinesiologist conducted studies which showed that when pitchers throw a ball approaching 104 MPH the elbow/shoulder can't handle it. By throwing as hard as they do all the time they are living at the upper end of the envelope...all the injuries we see are a result of that, IMO.

I have no idea what it is, probably a combination of things. Kids throwing at a young age, logging innings on a premature arm, just one theory.

All I know is we get robbed of alot of pitching talent every year, and it sucks.

I knew Syndergaard was due for something bad to happen when I heard during spring training that he's bulked up a bit and wanted to throw even HARDER. The kid throws pitches that are regularly near 100 MPH every game and you want to throw even harder? Do these young kids ever see what guys like Marco Estrada can do with a FB that barely tops 90 MPH? It's not all about speed. It's about location and movement. Speed is nice especially if you need that big strikeout but unless you're Nolan Ryan or Roger Clemens you can't live on it regularly all the time. Even those two guys and other flamethrowers in the past had offspeed stuff that was made more devastating because of the extreme change in velocity and movement.

When will this culture of the radar gun and speed ever end?!

I know it's being reported as a biceps thing, but he was grabbing at his lat after the pitch. That could end up being a lingering injury because of how much the lat does during deceleration.

Worst obstruction call in the history of time just made at Yankee Stadium.

                          Congrats, HP umpire.

LOL, now it's a balk. Sorry, it was neither.

Yankees come back, again. Tied at 4.

I don't know about the pitcher at first base. That seems like it could be a problem.
