I would've given it to Sheffield. The guy played hurt most of the season and put up monster numbers.

Can't say Vlad isn't a phenom...
I can say Manny Ramirez put up better numbers pretty much across the board (OPS, SLG, OBP, BB, RBI, HR, 2B).
Sabermetrically, the 2 were almost identical in RC/27, with a slight edge to Vlad.
It's too bad Ortiz/Ramirez took votes from each other, because Ramirez really did have an MVP caliber season.Comment
