It looked like, from the highlight, he got a late jump on that ball. If so, that recovery was tremendous.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Guess the Cubs successfully performed a rain dance to get out of playing the game tonight.

Smoltz is "all for" having automatic baserunners in extra innings, according to a segment they did for Quick Pitch.

What a dumb****. Way to piss away your credibility. Get the **** outta here.

Guy should start on 1st in every half inning starting in the top of the 12th. That gives you 2 innings to try and win it regularly and hopefully saves us of staying up until 2:30 on Monday morning to watch a baseball in the beginning of May.

I was looking forward to the game last night like no other game yet this season. What a let down to turn on my MLB.TV membership to first get "The game is in a weather delay" message followed by the realization that it had been cancelled. I think MLB.TV is great, I get to watch any game I want at any time. I am sick of having the Blue Jays thrust down my throat on normal TV because that is the only games shown here on most nights on normal TV. So the MLB.TV membership is great. But it is flawed in that there isn't any info to the viewers when games are delayed. Had to get on the internet to find out what was happening but even that was slow to tell us any info.

Yes bad weather blew into Denver and the teams needed to wait it out. But I think Sunday's Cubs/Yankees marathon also influenced how long the Cubs were willing to wait at the ball park. They probably said "if weather won't let us start the game now, there's no way we are waiting around, we're out of here". I am curious as thundershowers are a daily occurrence in Denver. Most of the time they happen late in the afternoons and clear out before the evening games start. But the weather will be dicey again today and if today's game(s) are weathered out, this could pose a problem for both teams later in the year? Time will tell I guess.

As far as I know, it isn't up to the road team how long they want to wait to play. The home team makes that decision. I live a couple of miles from Coors and the rain was steady from about 2 pm until around 8, so not a typical afternoon storm. Not to mention the hail mixed in there. Not many fields can hold up under those conditions.

How's the weather today? I lived in CO for 8 great years from 1998 through 2006 and I know the weather patterns well. Clear skies in the morning, clouding over in the afternoon with late afternoon thundershowers followed by clear skies in the evening. They might be able to get the first game in today, but isn't the WX forecast calling for kind of a repeat? Getting both games in could be problem. A lot will depend on the field conditions and how late they are willing to wait it out.

I have been enjoying the mlb regular season more then the nba playoffs. Usually that is not the case for me. Its a combination of how well the yankees are playing, exciting finishes, and the nba just being a wait for the nba finals with the cavs vs warriors.

Sounds like the Cubs and Rockies will be dodging raindrops again today, with a split double-header scheduled.

Yeah supposed to be the same today. The chance of storms is less today than it was last night. You never know here, though. Wednesday is supposed to be better, so they could get a day/night DH in tomorrow possibly, too.
