Arrieta is a guy I stay far away from in free agency.

So the Astros are pretty damn good. This is what they were supposed to be last year.

Pillar with the walk off and Jays sweep the Mariners!

Just when Sanchez comes back another player apparently goes down as Pearce left the game due to an apparent injury. It's to the point where you got to laugh to keep from crying.

Yadi finding the fountain of youth today. 2nd HR today, 3rd of the season. Cubs look like they're already on the plane.

I really didn't expect to see the Cubs play this way through the first 40 games...

Regarding Arrieta I saw a segment on MLB-N this week where Tom Verducci was breaking down his mechanics and basically Arrieta landing leg is in a slightly different position this year. He's also releasing the ball further back behind his head than he was last year which is compensating for a down tick in his velocity.

Yes, as someone said, i'd be VERY wary about this guy in free agency.

                        Verducci is covering pitching mechanics?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I don't think 2015 Arrieta is his level of performance, but he's better than his ERA shows right now. His BABIP is nearly .400, which won't continue, and his K/BB ratio is solid. I think a mix between 2016/2014 Arrieta is to be expected...

He's analyzed video of players for as long as I remember him on MLB-N. He doesn't do it often but it's probably one of the very few reasons he's in the booth for FOX as well.

Phillies with a great come-from-behind win in the 9th inning today against the Nationals. Game 2 tonight.

They closed roof right at game time due to chance of rain.

But Kevin pillar with plays of the game. Leaping backwards catch in cf, and then walk off hr! One of many examples how MLB draft means very little. He was a 27th round pick or something. Very quickly the past few seasons becomes a huge fan fave.
