And the Cardinals blow another multiple runs late inning lead

            This is getting ridiculous

Hmmm. According to a graphic I just saw on the Cubs broadcast, Anthony Rizzo leads the NL in homers since 2013. He's beating Stanton 131-130 although he's beating Stanton by a much wider margin in games played over the same timeframe.

I hope Brett Cecil is a large part of that so I can continue to laugh at that ridiculous contract. It's not so much the money but the NTC that has me guffawing.

                  To quote Mark Twain:

"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." That's an impressive stat but not as impressive as the Cubs stats guy would want you to believe. If anything it makes Stanton seem more impressive.

I actually think that's the point of the stat. To show just how great of a power hitter Stanton is.

Ah well if that was the context of the citation then you can strike the snarkiness out of my comment.

Wow Mike Zunino CRUSHED an opposite field walkoff home run. That was awesome.

Brett Cecil and Dexter Fowler both got ridiculous contacts and both have been extremely underwhelming to this point.

I'm a fan of Moz, but this past offseason wasn't one of his better ones.

The Cards need it to be the All Star break already. Need a break

Down 5-0 to the Reds in the 7th, on the verge of losing 7th game in a row

I agree that should've been the thrust of it, but the Cubs' broadcast did not mention the games played part--that's something I added. The original aim of the graphic was to show how awesome of a home run hitter Anthony Rizzo is. He is, but he's not in Stanton's league on a per-PA basis.
