I really liked this kid coming out of Florida. The guy has a 40% strikeout rate this season and a career 33% rate!

I really miss the guys that choked up on the bat and did whatever to not strikeout.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Arizona has scored their most runs in 3 years, lead Sawn Diawgo 15-3.

And the NL West continues to be as confusing as the NL Central.

Has it really been *3 YEARS* since the Michael Pineda Pine Tar game?

See, this is what I'm talking about. Why am I seeing a split screen interview with Craig Kimbrel in the middle of the game?

Cole got blasted again. I'd be surprised if he wasn't on another team after the trade deadline.

The Rockies and the Diamondbacks are both playing awesome ball far beyond any pre-season expectations the two teams may have had. And then there are the Dodgers. Barring a total collapse from one or all of these teams (not likely to happen). One of these three will win the NL West while the other two will play in the WC game. All three teams are so far ahead of anyone else in the NL (with the exception of the Nationals), that there is no WC race this year other than to determine who wins the NL West and who gets to host the NL WC game.

Way too early to call all of that. The Rockies have a history of hot starts and collapsing after June. Just too much that could happen in 3+ months time.

I keep waiting on the Cubs to go on a run...so far a lot of false starts. We're getting pretty deep into the season...at some point they have to start hitting, right?

                          Braves bullpen blows another lead...sigh.

They'll improve for sure, but I don't think they'll hit like they did last year, and they certainly aren't going to pitch like last year. I honestly think their peak this year is the NLCS, with a pretty even shot of missing the playoffs completely.

It's crazy how the expectations/narrative of this team have changed so quickly...it was 100-105 wins, repeat or bust in ST.

What a play by Swanson...doubled on a routine single to center. Unreal...kid is growing up in front of us. Has played his best all-round game tonight.
