A's have had 3 different players hit their first career MLB HR today. Elias had to go all the way back to the 1914 Kansas City Packers of the Federal League to find a other team that did that.

Is Barreto one of those players?

Lol, rays need so much help selling tickets that they're now trying to get fans to buy tickets to attend a post game concert. 2 for 1 special. If you need to do things like that to even get fans to come, why still have a team....

What? I think ALL teams do this...the Cubs have done this already several times this year and have a big concert in August they are hyping. I know Atlanta does it. I'm pretty sure all of them do it...

Just did a quick search of the Cubs schedule this year...here are all their concerts. This has gone on for years...

EDIT - I see that this is the list of ALL concerts, not just ones tied to the games, so not a good example.

That said, I did a quick look and other teams are doing it. Like I said, Braves have done it for years, the Pirates have one this summer, etc.

I haven't seen a ton of him, but can Cubs fans chime in on Ian Hap's throwing arm? It seems like the few times I've seen him throw ALWAYS seems to tail away and up the line...could be I've just seen a few poor throws, but I haven't seen a good one yet.

Either way, the Rays are currently averaging under 15,000 fans. Haven't done that since the Devil Rays days(02-05) and so far have just had 1 game with over 24,000 people there(home opener).

Is MLB ever gonna force them out or what? Give them an ultimatum already. Find a new stadium by ___ or you're gone. If a new team averages 25,000 fans, that's over 800,000 fans extra right there. If average ticket price is like $30, that's around 25M right there.

Man, you are obsessed with the Rays. Do you want Canada to have another team that bad?

How does that review have a verdict in 5 seconds that overturns it when neither angle showed anything definitive, but the majority of reviews around baseball take 2.5 hours with clear evidence and are hardly overturned?

Why would a new stadium make fans show up? Didn't work in Miami.

Julio Teheran's mechanics are all out of whack...he's been pretty much useless this year.

The entire pitching staff is just a mess this year. A few years ago the Braves had decent pitching and a terrible offense. Now they have a top 5 offense as of late and a poor staff. There's no deficit that feels too big with this tea, but there is no lead that ever feels safe either.
