Doesn't make sense. Yankees need pitching.

John Heyman reported that the Yankees inquired as to what it would take and that the Marlins had said Frazier. Another source said Adams would be the other piece...at this point I think it's nothing more than rumor, but will be interesting to see if anything happens.

It sounds like Heyman is backing off of his initial report...I see on trade rumors that he's now saying the Marlins won't make any move like that until their sale has gone final, so not this year. Sounds like a bunch of hot air/no story to me....

Blue Jays get Rob Refsnyder for 1B Ryan McBroom.

Add the Dodgers to the list of teams interested in Yu Darvish.

Rumor that went around last week saying the Jays at one point actually went after Odor. This was before all the stuff that happened in 2016. Given how bad their 2B depth is, and amount of control they'd have over him, I wonder if they're still interested.

Just hope management isn't a bunch of corporate puppets and decides to keep everyone and try putting Band-Aids on team and selling false hope for profit (in forming of 2018 tickets). Keep Stroman, Sanchez, Osuna, Donaldson, Pillar and all others can go. Not a full rebuild, but take 1 step back to take 2 forward.

Cardinals have both Lance Lynn and minor leaguer Luke Weaver as scheduled starters for Tuesday's game vs the Rockies.

It appears that they are shopping/listening to offers for Lynn

Mariners apparently in play for Grey. Personally I don't want him for what it'll cost. This team can't beat the Astros/Dodgers anyway, in a 7 game series. So what's the point of trading prospects for a better shot at the playoffs? If you don't have a team capable of winning it all, then what's the point? I wouldn't trade Lewis for Grey straight up. We need to stockpile prospects, not give them away. Our farm is worse now than it was whe Dipoto took over, which is impossible to believe.

This type of thinking doesn't apply to baseball.

C'mon man! Have some faith in your team. Anything can happen when you're in the dance. It would also be nice if King Felix could have a chance at participating in the playoffs for once in his career. If management feels like they can get into the playoffs and make noise than by all means you go out and do it. You never know when you'll have another chance like this.

Plus Grey is damaged goods. It will be Erik Bedard all over again. That, and Lewis has been on a tear since returning.

I wouldn't trade Gray for Lewis straight up either. M's wouldn't be paying nearly enough.

Braves trade Jaime Garcia and Anthony Recker to the Twins for Huascar Ynoa and cash. I don't understand this team sometimes...a single, marginal pitching prospect is all an established ML pitcher gets you? I mean, if we needed pitching prospects, okay...but we don't.

Nice to see the Twins get their man but yeah, the Braves are weird with how they're making trades like that.
